Backcountry Camping – Quaite Valley Backcountry Campground Review

Video:

Quaite Valley Backcountry Campground is a jewel right on the edge of the Canadian Rockies in Kananaskis Country Alberta.

Quite can be a very easy, steady uphill 2KM hike, a slightly more challenging 5-6KM hike, a longer, but not too hard hike through Jewel Pass or a fairly challenging hike over Prairie View Trail from Barrier Lake.

Lots of great views, good water supply, 20 sites, 8 bear lockers, 2 outhouses and 1 group firepit.

Only downside is wind. The winds really get strong in this valley.  And they just refuse to come from one consistent direction.

Definitely worth a weekend try. I tend to go once or twice a year.
